A Model Metric allows for grouping of measures. A metric cannot contain other metrics. A key difference between Metrics and Folders is that metrics are associated with a Data Engine. By default, only one Data Engine is created, but you can (and should!) configure multiple Data Engines as your Flow Instance grows in order to load balance your system.
By moving metrics between engines, you can share the processing load across different Data Engines.
