What Message Content Placeholders may be used in my Message Definition?

Depending on the Segment type used when defining message contents, various placeholders are available for use.

The different Segment Types that may be added to a message are:

• Constant
• Measure Value
• Measure Attribute Value
• Event Period
• Event Period Attribute
• Event Period Value
• Chart Link
• Dashboard Link

When creating a new Segment, you can always right-click in the “Segment Text” or “Segment Link” section and use the “Example” text. This will give you an idea of how to use the segment type.  The following image shows a context menu with example placeholders for a Measure Value Segment.

Constant

A “Constant” segment type has no placeholders, only free text.
