While each Chart type provides unique visualization capabilities (refer to the individual Chart articles for information on each of them), there are certain common properties that are applicable to them all.
These are found in the General tab of the Chart Configuration Editor. The General tab is used to define the general layout of a Table/Chart as well as the Title, and the default Period to display.
For a table-type report, the General Properties look like:
The General tab consists of Table, Title, Period and Indicators.
Table
Under the Table section we have the following properties:

This sets the color of the background area that surrounds the table. The default is the “Windows” theme color. |

This sets the cell border colors. The default is the “Border” theme color. |
|
This sets the measure rows’ font size. The default is 12. |
|
This sets the padding to the left of the table. The default is 0. |
|
This sets the padding to the right of the table. The default is 0. |
|
This sets the padding to the top of the table. The default is 0. |
|
This sets the padding to the top of the table. The default is 0. |
For a chart-type report, the "Table" component in the General Properties tab is replaced with a "Chart" component:
Chart
The Chart section has the following properties:

Title
The following properties may be modified with regard to the Title of a report:

This sets the Report's overall Title text. If left blank, no title will be generated, not will any visual "real estate" be provisioned for the title. |

The Caption text is positioned slightly lower than, and automatically sized smaller than, the Report Title |
|
This sets the background color of the Report Title cell. |
|
This sets the font color of the Report Title text. |
|
This sets the size of the Report Title text. |
|
This sets whether the text in the Report Title cell is bold. |
|
This sets whether the text in the Report Title is italicized. |
|
This sets the alignment of the Report Title text based on the horizontal position in the cell. Possible options are: Left, Center, and Right |
Period
he following properties may be modified with regard to the Period of a report:

This sets the Calendar Context for this report. If you've added more than one calendar, you'll need to select the correct calendar for this report. By defauly, the Default Calendar is selected when creating a chart. |

This is the interval type that is used in conjunction with the 3 Period properties to determine the default time range for which information must be displayed when the chart is first open. Possible options are all of Flow's Interval Types. The default time range also applies when a chart is linked to a Dashboard - the timestamp of the Dashboard will be the End Date used in the default time range. |

The number of intervals (as configured in Interval Type) from which the default time range must commence. Works in conjunction with the selected Period option |
