Data Source - Wonderware InTouch

InTouch

InTouch is a SCADA and HMI solution from Wonderware. It has the capability to store historical data natively in a flat file structure called .lgx files.

To create a connection to the Wonderware InTouch SCADA Historian log files (.lgx): Right-click on the Data Sources group, then click “Wonderware”, and then select “InTouch”.

To successfully retrieve data from a Wonderware InTouch SCADA, the following properties need to be set.

  • Name (String)
 Name to identify the data source.
  • Project Path (File location)
 Location of the Wonderware InTouch SCADA project.
  • Data Path (File location)
 Location set in the Wonderware SCADA project as to where to create and store the .lgx files.
