Software Requirements

Operating Systems

For Windows based installations, either:

  • Windows 11 64-bit / 10 64-bit
  • Windows Server 2016 64-bit / 2019 64-bit / 2022 64-bit

Additionally, you will need: 

  • ASP.NET Core Runtime 8.0.x - Windows / Hosting Bundle
  • .Net Desktop Runtime 8.0.x - Windows / x64

Flow Engines and Flow Server may also be run in Linux or Docker. Flow Config requires Windows. Flow Dashboard exports to PDF are not supported on the ARM Docker-based image.

  • Linux Ubuntu Distributable (Tested on version 22.0.4)
  • Docker Containers (search on docker Hub for flowsoftwareinc) 

 

Flow Database Requirements

Flow Trial license, Flow Starter, or a small proof of concept:

    • Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022 Express will suffice

Flow Unlimited Solution: 

    • Microsoft SQL Server 2019 / 2022
      • Standard Edition will suffice for most solutions, however if planning to perform more than 10,000 KPI Measures and/or 200 Events, it is recommended to use the Enterprise Edition.

Flow Reporting Requirements

Supported web browsers for reports and dashboards include Chrome and Edge. Other modern web browsers may work but have not been tested.
